During the time when our school is only open to some pupils, we will continue to update the school closure page in the parents section with information and ideas for activities that you can do at home. We will also share information about activities and daily ideas on our school Twitter account.
It's a great pleasure, as Headteacher of this wonderful school, to welcome you to Beech Hyde Primary School and Nursery.
We pride ourselves in creating a stimulating environment that helps our children to progress academically, socially, emotionally and physically to their maximum potential.
This website gives you a first glimpse of Beech Hyde, but I very much hope that you will want to come and visit us in person; you will be made very welcome. Here at Beech Hyde we are committed to the partnership that the school and home share in the education of each child. Parents appreciate our 'open door' policy and we strive to strengthen that relationship by working together and sharing successes at every opportunity.
The staff works together to build a centre of excellence in which we aim to achieve high academic standards whilst ensuring that the needs of all pupils are met. Our aims include embracing the diverse social and emotional needs of each child, delivering a broad and enriched curriculum that inspires every learner, develop a spirit of curiosity and actively encourage independent learning, promote the school’s ethos of tolerance, respect and mutual support and trust the children in a wide range of duties to develop a sense of social responsibility.
I hope all of our children will leave us having achieved the very best they are capable of, having found out what it is that they love and are good at, having learned to challenge themselves and to value other people. But most of all, I want every boy or girl who comes to Beech Hyde to enjoy their time here.
Mrs K Harvey, Headteacher.
